FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: method of destroying toxic compounds involves high-temperature thermal decomposition of toxic compounds and cleaning the exhaust gases, in which organophosphorus compounds are adsorbed in pores of a high-ash carbon sorbent with a developed structure of micro- and meso-pores, put into a reactor connected to the waveguide of a microwave apparatus and then destroyed through exposure to microwave radiation with frequency 2.45 GHz for 5-15 minutes in an inert medium at temperature 300-800°C.
EFFECT: high efficiency of destroying toxic organophosphorus compounds.
