SUBSTANCE: method is implemented under influence of electromagnetic field of power transmission line wire, thus providing the movement along the wire of movement device made with the use of levitation coil and at least one constant magnet, between which attraction and repulsion forces are generated in turn so that translational movement along power transmission line wire of movement device and ice removal device connected to it is provided. Movement device of ice removal device along power transmission line wire includes housing having the possibility of being installed on power transmission line wire and equipped with movement device and power supply. Movement device includes movable module having the possibility of being moved relative to the housing. As per the first version of the device, the movement device includes levitation coil fixed on housing and interconnected with power supply, and movable module includes constant module and fixing device of movable module. As per the second version, the movement device includes levitation coil and constant magnet which is rigidly fixed on the housing.

EFFECT: increasing the efficiency, decreasing dimensions and weight, reducing the power consumed with the device implementing this method, excluding mechanical damage to power transmission line wires.
