EXTERNAL EXPOSURE SYSTEM AND METHOD OF USING IT Russian patent published in 2011 - IPC A61M35/00

Abstract RU 2429887 C2

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: device comprises an external means accommodating an external component of fluid transport for fluid transport from a wound or an incision, and an upper tissue over said external component in contact with a surrounding skin surface. The component of fluid transport comprises a porous central portion. The upper tissue has a fluid outlet. A negative pressure source is attached to the outlet. A absorbent pad encloses the central portion completely and forms a layer between the upper tissue and the porous surface of the component of fluid transport in an upper portion of the device. The pad forms a layer between the component of fluid transport and the skin surface surrounding a wound or an incision in a lower portion of the device and is absorbable to provide more effective fluid transport between a wound or an incision and the component of fluid transport, and the component of fluid transport and the outlet. There are disclosed the second version of the device differing by using a detector for recording the characteristic of the component of fluid transport, a hemostatic agent for wound or incision repair, and the versions of a method of external wound or cut repair with using the declared devices.

EFFECT: controlled surgical wound repair.
