FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: lighting fixture comprises a body, which is at least substantially in the visible part of the spectrum and a device for light irradiation arranged outside the body. Inside the body there is a shining area, and due to availability of medium with lower refraction index at least at some areas there is a border surface having shape of polyhedron, cylinder or cone, which, at least at some sections fully reflects radiation emitted by the light irradiation device and entering the body. The reflected radiation exits the body, at least partially forming a lighting area, at the same time the border surface forms a cavity inside the body.
EFFECT: reduced heating of the body, no contamination, increased intensity of outgoing light.
