FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for casting parts with through holes, in particular of cylinder block of internal combustion engines. Method involves preparation of mold (2) with moulding core (8-19) to form through hole (O1, O2), pouring of molten metal (S) into mould, cooling of cast part (Z1, Z2) to temperature below crystallisation of molten metal (S), but above minimum temperature, at which formation of high-strength structure occurs during accelerated cooling. Via through hole (O1, O2) of cast part (Z1, Z2) connecting channel (G1, G2) is made, by binder combustion in molding material, from which cast rod (8-19) is made, or by mechanical destruction of mold core. Binder is burnt by heat released during pouring of molten metal in mold. Cast part is cooled in mold by passing cooling medium (M1, M2) via guide through channel (G1, G2).
EFFECT: obtaining optimum mechanical properties of cast parts.
