FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: there is manufactured combined consumable electrode composition of which is regulated by length depending on chemical composition of ingot by height. During re-melt of ingot there is carried out modulation of heat flow directed from a slag bath through front of crystallisation into a body of the ingot with a period equal to constant of time of heat process of the slag bath and with porosity equal to two.
EFFECT: raised quality of metal of layered ingot due to reduced extent of transit area along axis of ingot and reduced gradient of concentrations of chemical elements across section of ingot avoiding usage of flux with lowered efficiency and additional non-consumable electrode.
