FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine and can be applied for opening of maxillary sinus. Edge of pear-shaped opening is removed by applying two horizontal cuts: one - at the level of attachment of lower nasal turbinate, the second - near nose bottom. Horizontal cuts are connected with a vertical cut on their external edge on anterior wall of upper jaw. Bone fragment is removed. Mobilisation of anterior wall of maxillary sinus is performed by extension of horizontal cuts to 3-4 cm. Formed fragment together with soft tissues is moved aside to obtain access to sinus. After operation fragment together with soft tissues is brought back to it place.
EFFECT: method provides sufficiently wide access without large cuts, reduces risk of nerve injury.
