SUBSTANCE: charging device includes a corona charger having an opening opposite a photosensitive element for electrically charging the photosensitive element, a sheet-like element which can cover the opening, a movable device for moving the sheet-like element, and a device for regulating the shape of the sheet-like element so that the centre of the sheet-like element protrudes toward the corona charger with respect to a circumferential direction of the direction of the photosensitive element.
