FIELD: radio engineering.
SUBSTANCE: dome comprises a single-layer cone-shaped shell and an erosion-resistant tip made of dielectric material, joined to each other by means of an adhesive joint, a metal ring rigidly fixed with the cone-shaped shell, and in the area of cone-shaped shell and tip joint inside there is an intermediate cone-shaped ring made of material same as the tip material and glued along contacting surfaces by a glue on the epoxysiliconorganic base with a filler of powdery oxide ceramics, and a paint and varnish coating is applied onto outer and inner surfaces of the dome. The method to make an antenna dome includes assembly of an antenna dome in a vertical slip with coaxial fixation of the cone-shaped shell, tip, intermediate ring and their adhesion with separate pressing for the cone-shaped shell and the intermediate ring and the tip with specific pressure 0.01÷0.05 MPa and curing for 68÷72 hours at room temperature or with curing of 2÷2.5 hours at the temperature of 70÷90°C.
EFFECT: increased strength of cap attachment to a tip, increased bearing capacity, improved radio engineering properties at higher thermal and power loads.
