FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: proposed cutter comprises cylindrical body with grooves spaced apart over body length and arranged at an angle to its lengthwise axis to accommodate disposable tips, in particular, hard-alloy coated tips. Said cylindrical body consists of axially arranged disks retained together by clamps. Note here that grooves of two adjacent disks and, hence, cutting edges are oriented in reflection symmetry relative to interface between disks. Note here that angles are selected so that axial forces originating in milling on one disk are neutralised by axial forces originating on adjacent disk or are considered minor.
EFFECT: reduced axial loads on mulling cutter or milled material.
