FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of producing N,N-dimethyl-5-alkyl-2-thiophene amines, which involves reaction of N,N-dimethyl-3-alkyl-2-propyne-1-amine, (where alkyl = C3H7, C5H11, C7H15) with excess elementary sulphur (S8) in the presence of a three-component catalyst consisting of cobalt acetate deposited on γ-aluminium oxide [Co(OAc)2/Al2O3], triphenylphosphine (Ph3P) and triethylaluminium (Et3Al), taken in molar ratio N,N-dimethyl-3-alkyl-2-propyne-1-amine:S8:[Co(OAc)2/Al2O3]:Ph3P:Et3Al=10:(35-45):(0.3-0.7):(0.6-1.4):(0.6-1.4), preferably 10:40:0.5:1.0:1.0, at temperature 120-130°C and atmospheric pressure for 4-6 hours.
EFFECT: method of obtaining novel compounds which can be used as biologically active compounds, additives to oil and process lubricants and in fine organic synthesis.
