FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of producing tricyclic 2,3,5,6-tetrasubstituted 1,4-dithiines of general formula (1): , where n=6, 8, 10, which can be used in fine organic synthesis, as well as in synthesis of biologically active substances. The method involves reaction of cycloalkyne (cyclooctyne, cyclodecyne, cyclododecyne) with excess elementary sulphur (S8) in the presence of a three-component catalyst consisting of cobalt acetyl acetonate [Co(acac)2], triphenyl phosphine (Ph3P) and triethyl aluminium (Et3Al) at temperature 125-135°C and atmospheric pressure for 5-7 hours. Output of tricyclic 2,3,5,6-tetra-substituted 1,4-dithiines (1) is equal to 64-87%.
EFFECT: high output.
