FIELD: transport.
SUBSTANCE: by means of proposed technical solutions the user is provided with real-time information on actual location (coordinates), speed, movement direction of public transport vehicles (TV), predicted TV arrival at the stop and the number of passengers in the compartment. Availability of the above information allows the user to optimise its route by choosing stops, TV and number of transhipments. In this case there used are transport terminals, central station performing the functions of reception, processing, control, management and transfer, individual user terminals and communication channels. Transport terminals transfer via communication channels the information on TV location to central station. Central station receives and processes the information from transport terminals, shapes signals (informative messages) in which the data on TV coordinates, their routes, predicted arrival time, etc. is contained, and transmits it via communication channels to terminals of users of public transport. User terminals receive and process the signals transmitted with the central station in order to extract the information required for the user.
EFFECT: enhanced ease of use of public transport; reduction of the time and travel costs.
