FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely, to cardiosurgery, and can be used in surgery on open heart with application of blood cardioplegia. For this purpose before carrying out each session of cardioplegia concentration of potassium in patient/s blood plasma is determined. Rate of infusion of potassium solution of specified concentration is calculated by formula IR=((((Cplegia-Cpatient-)/10)*(CPR/100))/(0.134*C%))*60, where IR is rate of infusomate with potassium solution in ml/h; Cplegia is necessary concentration of potassium in plegia solution, mmol/l; Cpatient is plasma concentration of potassium in patient, mmol/l; CPR is cardioplegia rate in ml/min; C% is concentration of used potassium in %; 0.134 is coefficient of converting mg into mol.
EFFECT: method makes it possible to increase quality of myocardium protection at the main stage of operation, respecting the principle of low-potassium cardioplegia, which prevents injuring action of high potassium concentrations on myocardium.
