FIELD: transport, package.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to container with improved barrier properties intended for packing food products and drinks. Container is produced by blow moulding and drawing from polyester composition. Polyester composition comprises poly(ethylene terephthalate) and purine derivant of formula (I) as gas barrier additive: (I), where R1, R3, R5 and R7 are hydrogen or straight chain, forked or cyclic alkyl group; t, t1, x, x1, x2, y and z are single or binary bond; t', x', y' and z' are independent and equal 0 or 1; x", y" and w' are independent and equal 1 or 2. Preferably, purine derivant represents purindion, for example coffeine.
EFFECT: improved barrier properties with respect to carbon dioxide and oxygen.
