SUBSTANCE: process of compensation of one of groups of higher harmonic components is carried out by energy of harmonics of another group of the same variety that carries its main energy. Non-efficient losses of energy during realisation of compensation process are reduced to the minimum since the energy of the first group of higher harmonics that carries the main energy of this variety is extracted in the form of energy of sequence of unipolar, periodically repeating width-modulated current pulses, duration of which changes according to the law of envelope variation in a current extracted from the power system, by means of a transistor WPM-rectifier, and also by usage of a WPM-inverter as an additional source of power.
EFFECT: reduction of non-efficient losses of power in realisation of the process of controlled compensation of higher harmonics.
