FIELD: information technology.
SUBSTANCE: on an object, time instants are recorded for receiving pulsed radio signals which are not reflected and reflected from the earth's surface, transmitted from three radio beacons, the phase centres of antennae of which are arranged in a defined way. Spatial coordinates are determined from disclosed simple expressions which depend on the average values of repeatedly measured differences between reception times of corresponding radio signals. The method includes a technique for selecting the most accurate of three disclosed versions of determining spatial coordinates of the object, which enables to obtain an axially symmetric coverage area of systems realising said method with high volume.
EFFECT: possibility of variation of the configuration of the coverage area of a radio system and formation thereof depending on the set task.
