FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the technology of machine building and may be used in processing of parts, such as shafts, in machines, for instance, lathes, cylindrical grinding machines. Prior to finishing treatment operation, the processed stock is checked, and value and position of radial striking is detected in horizontal and vertical planes. Then the stock is installed on the back ball rotary centre. The centre comprises a hollow tail with the external surface in the form of a Morse cone and a spindle. The spindle is equipped with a working cone and is arranged in the tail cavity on rolling bearings. At the end of the spindle there is a flange with a dead hole, in which there is a working cone installed with the help of a collet eccentric disc, having an eccentrically displaced step. The step is fixed in the flange by means of screws that are radially arranged and screwed into threaded holes provided on the flange. Prior to the finishing treatment the axis of the working cone displacement by the detected value of radial striking with the help of the back centre.
EFFECT: invention provides for reduced error and simplified process of stock installation.
