FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: this relates to devices intended for combined finishing abrasive treatment of metals and alloys liable to appearance of microcracks and burns in process of treatment. Device has grinding wheel which is rigidly mounted on arbor with tail-piece between polishing bobs. Journals which carry polishing bobs by means of pivoted joints and antifriction bearings are located diametrically opposite to each other and eccentrically with respect to central journal of grinding wheel. Arbor and tail-piece are installed at angle relative to each other so that centers of symmetry of three journals of arbor are lying on axis of tail-piece rotation. In this case, angle is equal to value at which end play of polishing bobs and amplitude of grinding wheel oscillations along axis of tail-piece is less than height of grinding wheel. Application of aforesaid embodiment of device allows for improving quality and efficiency of abrasive treatment of blanks made of materials predisposed to creation of defects.
