FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: material for run-in packing of turbo-machine contains particles of powder filler, adhesively interconnected into monolith material. Adhesive strength of filler connection corresponds to a value from 20 to 100% of particles strength. Adhesive strength of particles in a zone of contact of a packing with a blade during operation is from 0.5 to 12% of strength of connection of filler particles. As filler there is used metal powder with dimension of particles from 15 to 180 mcm of composition: Cr - from 10.0 to 16.0%, Mo - from 0.8 to 3.7%, Fe- the rest. The said value of adhesion strength of particles in the contact zone is facilitated with impact-temperature effect occurring as result of pulse contact of a particle with an opposite body.
EFFECT: reduced coefficient of friction in contact zone.
