SUBSTANCE: invention relates to aircraft engine construction and can be used in electron-hydromechanical automatic control systems (ACS) of gas turbine engines (GTE). In the course of the regular operation of the control system (CS) with the help of the built-in monitoring system (BIMS) of the QAR, which is one of the components of the CS, the deviation of the actual value of the movement speed of the metering element (ME) of the hydromechanical part (HMP) of the CS from its calculated and experimental value is determined, at certain values of the control signal obtained by calculation and experiment, both with increasing and decreasing, and with an unacceptable value of this deviation for a predetermined time determined by calculation and experiment, signal "Failure of the fuel consumption control channel from the electronic part of the system" is generated, the control over the fuel consumption in the engine is transferred to the stand-by hydromechanical governor.

EFFECT: technical result of the invention is to improve the quality of control of the GTE CS by reducing the failure detection time and, as a consequence, improving the reliability of the GTE and flight safety of the aircraft.
