FIELD: information technologies.

SUBSTANCE: method is proposed to carry out transfer of user equipment (UE) service in a mode from a cell to a basic station. UE may receive a command of service transfer in order to carry out transfer of service from the initial basic station to the target basic station. The initial basic station may send context UE information to the target basic station, and this context information may be available to all cells of the target basic station. UE may try to transfer service from a service cell of the initial basic station to the first cell of the target basic station. If service transfer to the first cell fails, UE may try to transfer service to the second cell of the target basic station. UE may (i) receive the first and the second cell from the initial basic station or (ii) receive only the first cell from the initial basic station, and determine the second cell on the basis of information in a broadcasting system.

EFFECT: increased reliability of user equipment service transfer from the initial basic station to the target basic station.
