FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to compression moulding of plastic articles wherein articles are produced by compressing measured doze of fused plastic material between two mould parts. Proposed device allows producing the article by compressing fused plastic material dose between two mould parts. It comprises plastic material feed source, core arranged to slide inside the sleeve designed to maintain plastic material dose, article head mould and mandrel interacting with said mould. Note here that said sleeve comprises top surface and sidewall. Note also that said device includes appliances to place said dose on said sleeve so that amount of plastic material located above the plane aligned with the sleeve top surface varies from 20% to 40% of total dose weight.
EFFECT: improved distribution of plastic material on sleeve for efficient moulding of tubes.
