FIELD: construction.
SUBSTANCE: prior to laying strips onto each other, the position of concave and convex sides of each strips is identified, and prior to connection of the pair of strips they are laid horizontally onto a bearing support one onto another by convex sides upwards. Connection of the pair of strips is done between the concave side of the upper strip and the concave side of the lower strip by pressing a working element at material of the upper strip in perpendicular direction to the lower strip surface to form connecting seams in the form of zones 4 of local injection of upper strip material into material of the lower strip and a stiffening rib in the form of a rectilinear section on the concave side of the lower strip. At the same time areas of strips connection, i.e. connection seams acquire properties of stress concentrator as an element of multiple bending. In order to increase accuracy of size characteristics of the produced connection seam during pressure of the working element at the material of the upper strip in perpendicular direction to the surface of the lower strip, the mutual position of the support and working element may be adjusted on the basis of coordinate closure, i.e. displacement of the working element in the system of equipment coordinates.
EFFECT: provision of the possibility to operate the area of strips connection for bending in area of deformation as reinforcement is distributed on the reinforced surface due to formation of stress concentrators in the point of connection, relative to which connected strips are bent as reinforcement is distributed.
