FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: explosive circuit breaker is intended to release high-current electric circuits of magnetic explosion generators (MEG) and formation of high-power current pulses of multi-megampere range with low build-up time in power supply systems of plasma-dynamic loads. Explosive circuit breaker includes destructed conductor and explosive charge and stops adjacent to destructed conductor that is made in the form of foil, which are located on both sides from it. Stops are made in the form of periodic structure with pitch b=(d+S), where d - stop width, S - distance between neighbouring stops, and h -stop thickness. At that, ratios d ≤ S ≤ 2.5d and h≤d are fulfilled. Stops are made from material with acoustic stiffness Bar·s·m-1 and installed on substrate from dielectric material with density of 0.1 ≤ ρ ≤ 0.3 g/cm. Substrate thickness H meets the ratio 2h ≤ H ≤ 4h.
EFFECT: increasing quick action of circuit breaker; reducing the value of the energy dissipated in circuit breaker; increasing power of the formed current pulse; simplifying the design and reducing the manufacturing cost.
