SUBSTANCE: input signal is received; a local oscillator signal is generated in response to a control signal; the input signal is mixed with the local oscillator signal to create a first signal; the first signal is converted to form a filtered first signal with thinned out sampling frequency; phase error and frequency error of the filtered first signal is detected, normalised for attenuation of fading effects, and an adaptive loop filter for third-order frequency-phase automatic tuning is used to form a control signal in response to the phase error and the frequency error of the filtered first signal.
