FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: method of intravitreal drug introduction during extracapsular cataract extraction. It involves making a cataract scleral-corneal tunnel incision and two corneocenteses, then anterior capsulorhexis in diameter 4.5-5.5 mm, hydrodissection and hydrodelineation. The lens substance is removed, a circular uninterrupted posterior capsulorhexis in diameter 4.0-5.0 mm is made, a soft intraocular lens is implanted in a capsular sac. The anterior and posterior chambers are filled with a cohesive viscoelastic; intravitreal drug injection is carried out by a syringe and an injection needle introduced in a vitreous body through one of the corneocenteses, and then - openings of the anterior and posterior capsulorhexes followed by entrapment of an optical portion of the intraocular lens in the opening of the posterior capsulorhexis.

EFFECT: method allows maintaining integrity of the ciliary body and anterior chamber breakdown during the injection, as well as developing bleeding, uveitis, ciliochoroidal detachment, proliferative vitreoretinopathy, retinal detachment; it differs by the absence of pain syndrome accompanying carrying out the injection.
