FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: inventions can be used to disinfect and decontaminate drinking water in extreme conditions, in field conditions or when consuming water from surface sources in population centres without centralised water treatment and supply systems. The solid composition contains a chlorine-containing disinfectant - sodium or potassium salt of dichloroisocyanuric acid (5-25 pts.wt), alkali metal chloride (10-75 pts.wt), additives which intensify disinfectant action - alkali metal salt of acetic or phosphoric acid or trichloroisocyanuric acid (1-30 pts.wt), as well as dechlorinating additives (4.5-50 pts.wt), where the dechlorinating additives used are cysteine and/or ascorbic acid, alkali or alkali-earth metal salts thereof, as well as mixtures thereof. The composition can be prepared in form of a single unit package or in form of a two-component unit package. The composition additionally contains binding substances, dispersants, dye and a fragrance component.
EFFECT: composition is cheap, nontoxic and provides high biocidal effectiveness, cuts decontamination time compared to other existing agents, provides fast and quantitative neutralisation of active chlorine, which, as a result of treatment, enables to obtain decontaminated, high-quality drinking water.
