FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of gun powder, particularly phlegmatisation of dibasic pellet powder for cartridges of small arms, including large- and small-calibre artillery systems. The method for phlegmatisation of coarsely dispersed dibasic pellet powder involves preparation of 1.5-3.5% aqueous phlegmatising emulsion, preparation of a gun powder suspension in a reactor with stirring device, adding the obtained phlegmatisation emulsion into the gun powder suspension, treating the gun powder suspension with the phlegmatising emulsion, characterised by that 6.5-7.5 wt % of the phlegmatising agent with respect to 1 pts.wt of the gun powder in form of phlegmatising emulsion is added in two steps at temperature 90-95°C: the first portion of the emulsion containing 3.25-3.75 wt % centralite 1, is mixed with 1 pts.wt gun powder for 60-90 minutes at temperature 90-95°C, the second portion of the emulsion containing 3.25-3.75 wt % centralite 1 and centralite 11 in ratio 3:1 is mixed with 1 pts.wt gun powder for 120-150 minutes at temperature 90-95°C.
EFFECT: invention provides high bullet speed in large-calibre weapons.
