FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: internal combustion engine comprises combustion chamber including outlet, outlet valve and discharge device with discharge channel to direct exhaust gas released from combustion chamber via said outlet. Discharge device comprises convergent and divergent sections, and derived section. Convergent section features flow cross section area smaller at its outlet. Divergent section is located downstream of said convergent section and features flow cross section area larger at its outlet. Derived section derives pressure shock propagating along flow in outlet channel at higher rate compared with exhaust gas flowing into exhaust channel from combustion chamber with exhaust valve open from exhaust channel section located upstream of divergent section, and propagates derived pressure shock backward into exhaust channel. Divergent section communicates solely with one combustion chamber. Exhaust gas flowing into exhaust channel from combustion chamber collides with pressure shock reflected in derived section ahead of divergent section to flow through convergent section, thus, increasing waste gas pressure in convergent section. Exhaust gas flows through divergent section to create new pressure shock that creates negative pressure upstream of divergent section. Invention covers also ICE design version, method of ICE exhaust, transport facility with ICE, and ICE operating with said exhaust system.
EFFECT: perfected operating performances.
