FIELD: machine building.

SUBSTANCE: flywheel includes the housing fixed on the shaft, inside which there are radially moving elements. Flywheel hub is made from the material having the properties of magnet, and hollow housing with rim - from the material not having the properties of magnet. Hollow housing is partially filled with bulk material interacting with magnet, for example steel balls or cast-iron chips. On external generatrix of the hub surface and internal generatrix of the rim surface inside the flywheel housing there are projections. Front and rear surfaces of these projections have various inclination angles.

EFFECT: invention allows reducing the flywheel weight, reducing power consumption at the initial period of flywheel rotation and increasing the smoothness of rotation in working mode.
