FIELD: engines and pumps.

SUBSTANCE: internal combustion engine comprises a working shaft with an idler gear, cylinder with combustion chambers, pistons with piston fingers, placed in cylinders and a crank gear to convert reciprocal movement of a piston into rotary movement of a working shaft. The crank gear comprises connecting rods, cranks with counterbalances, driving gears and an idler gear of the working shaft. Driving and idler gears are made as cylindrical and are engaged. Axes of cranks are connected by connecting rods with piston fingers. In adjacent cylinders a connecting rod and axes of a crank in a crank gear are arranged relative to the connecting rod and the axis of the crank in the adjacent cylinder with the possibility to ensure antiphased motion of pistons in accordance with the operating cycle of the engine. Axes of cranks are connected with traction rods of cranks of other driving gears. Driving gears are installed in shafts, at the ends of which there are cranks installed with counterbalances in a cantilever manner. Driving gears are installed between bearings. The counterbalance is installed oppositely to the axis of the crank, is installed as movable with the possibility of displacement during shaft rotation, towards the periphery and is spring-loaded to the centre of rotation. In the hollow part of the counterbalance there is an elastic element that rests against the axis installed as fixed in the crank body and sliding in counterbalance slots.
