FIELD: mechanical engineering; piston internal combustion engines.
SUBSTANCE: according to invention, mechanism converting reciprocation of piston into rotation of engine shaft is made in form of alternate internal meshing gear train. Said train consists of driven semigear secured on shaft and wheel of gear train made in form of oval and connected with piston. Surfaces of oval wheel corresponding to larger axis of oval arte straight with teeth alternately engaging with gear, and surfaces corresponding to smaller axes of oval are made smooth, with radius not exceeding radius of gear teeth, and they correspond to phase of change of direction of piston motion at working cycle. Cam is installed on shaft parallel to driven semigear, also made in form of semigear, and alternately engaging during working cycle with stops whose working surfaces are provided with teeth with basic rack similar to that of semigear. Toothed surface of cam is similar to toothed surface of driven semigear, stops for cam are toothed surfaces of wheel alternately engaging with semigear and cam. Size of toothed surfaces of semigear and cam in plane perpendicular to movement of wheel does not exceed inner size of wheel tooth points. Moving reciprocating group is provided with shock absorbing device whose members interact when group approaches TDC and BDC. And system consisting of freely rotating cam and oval toothed wheel is provided with device to brake and turn cam at reverse movement of wheel through angle sufficient for reliable engagement of wheel toothed surface and cam at transient period of wheel movement.
EFFECT: improved reliability and increased service life of engine, simplified design and improved adaptability to manufacture.
