FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: device has two autodyne reception-transmission channels (1, 2) spaced apart in space on a direction finding base (3). Each of the channels has a microwave self-oscillator (4), a feeder circuit with an attenuator (5), a director antenna (6) with orthogonal polarisation relative a second channel on a program controlled rotating platform (7). The device also has a frequency detector (9), whose input signal is the signal from one of the channels and the reference signal is the signal from the second channel; a threshold element (10), an analogue-to-digital converter (11), buffer memory (12), a computer-based signal processing circuit (13), which synchronises operation of the control unit and the programmed measurement sampling circuit.

EFFECT: high sensitivity of the device.
