FIELD: geophysics.

SUBSTANCE: measuring device installed at a space carrier operates according to the programmes given by the Spacecraft Control Centre. The measuring device consists of the receiver channels of the Earth's proper upward microwave range radiation, the threshold unit, the transmission channel for the registered information transmission to the earth points, and the channel of the programmed information processing. Additionally, the measuring device has two spiral antennae with revolving polarisation of the right and the left rotation directions. One of the antennae is connected to the first input of the phase detector, the other - to the second input of the phase detector through the phase-shift circuit. The resulting signal from the phase detector output is fed to the inputs of the threshold circuit, analog-digital converter and the recording device, which are connected in series, which operation mode is defined by the onboard control system.
