FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: method involves multiple irradiation of surface of electromagnetic steel with orientation grains by means of focused beam of continuous laser for scanning of electromagnetic steel plate with orientation grains from the rolling direction to the deflected direction; at that, beam scanning sections of continuous laser are shifted though PL intervals; at that, average irradiation energy density Ua is determined as Ua = P/(Vc×PL) (mJ/mm2), where: P - average power of beam of continuous laser (W), Vc - scanning rate (mm/sec), PL - each of the intervals (mm) when the following ratios are fulfilled: 1.0 mm ≤ PL ≤ 3.0 mm, 0.8 mJ/mm2 ≤ Ua ≤ 2.0 mJ/mm2. Beam shape of continuous laser on electromagnetic steel plate surface with orientation grains is circular or elliptical.
EFFECT: improving magnetic steel properties which reduce the losses in transformer core for L and C directions.
