FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to procedure of fabricating electric steel with oriented grain structure and can be applied in electrical industry. The sheet out of electric steel with oriented grain structure offers exclusive properties with a view to reduced losses in the core and lowered magnetostriction being under high magnetic induction of 1.9 Tl (tesla); this sheet contains crumbled magnetic domain. Domain possesses irradiated with laser region, which has been melted and subjected to repeated solidifying forming a solidified layer. The thickness of solidified layer is 4 mcm or less. The sheet can additionally contain irradiated with laser region where roughness Rz of surface is low, while cross section, when looked at from the side of cross section, has concave region of 200 mcm width or less and of 10 mcm depth or less intended for further improvement.
EFFECT: facilitating production of sheet out of electric steel with oriented grain structure with low losses in core and with low magnetostriction.
