FIELD: agriculture.
SUBSTANCE: method includes soil treatment across a slope forming plow ridges and split furrows and subsequent growing of crops in a crop rotation system, by means of which surface water drainage is retained. The flow of excessive surface waters is additionally removed by closed collectors installed in a single vertical plane with hollows and entering a closed collector arranged along the slope. At the same time the distance E between a watershed and the first closed collector and subsequent collectors, at which the yearly average outwash of soil weighted average by crop rotation at the upper edge of a trench with width of 1.0 m of the lowest closed collector on the slope does not exceed the norm of plane soil erosion weighted average by crop rotation and is determined using the following formula: In E = 1/c In (10a+1.0Hd/3KJb), where a, b, c - coefficients, which take crop rotation into account; a set of crops, their alternation and system of soil treatment; grain-size composition and soil genesis, geographic location and slope orientation; J - inclination of slope surface; H and d - accordingly average speed of soil formation of many years, mm/year and density of soil skeleton - volume mass, t/m3 weighted average by crop rotation and slope; K - coefficient equal to ratio of humus content in a near-watershed balanced soil with normal fully developed unwashed profile to the content if humus in slope soil.
EFFECT: method makes it possible to reproduce soil fertility and to increase crop capacity of crops at slope lands.
