SUBSTANCE: optical disc drive includes a cache management apparatus and a data management apparatus. If a first address which indicates an optical disc sector, the first address being subject to reception through a first interface, is received through the first interface, the cache management apparatus reads cache data from non-volatile memory in correlation with the first address. If the cache data cannot be read from the non-volatile memory, the cache management apparatus receives data stored in the optical disc sector, and records data into the non-volatile memory in correlation with the first address. The data management apparatus reads data from the non-volatile memory in accordance with the second address, which sets a region of the non-volatile memory or records into the non-volatile memory data received through the second interface. The second address is received through the second interface.
EFFECT: shorter access time during random access.
