SUBSTANCE: plurality of frequency bands for transmitting a reference signal is determined for frequency ranges of a system, and for each frequency band for transmitting the reference signal, hierarchical frequency bands of the reference signal are defined such that the frequency band of a low-order reference signal, lower than the frequency band of a highest-order reference signal is part of the frequency band of a high-order reference signal. The base station stores information on the frequency band of the reference signal, which indicates hierarchical frequency bands of the reference signal for each frequency range of the system; transmits information on the frequency band of the reference signal, which corresponds to the frequency band for transmitting the reference signal used by the base station; assigns a frequency band for frequency hopping for the reference signal; transmits to the user terminal the frequency band for frequency hopping and the frequency band of the reference signal as information on the allocated frequency band for transmitting the reference signal; assigns a frequency range for transmitting the reference signal within the frequency band for frequency hopping based on the information on the frequency band of the reference signal and information on the allocated frequency band for transmitting the reference signal; and receives the reference signal from the user terminal.

EFFECT: reduced interference between signals of neighbouring cells.
