METHOD FOR EVALUATION OF INTENSIVE CARE EFFECTIVENESS IN PATIENTS WITH GRAVE TRAUMATIC BRAIN INJURY Russian patent published in 2012 - IPC A61B5/00 G01N21/76

Abstract RU 2441574 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention is referred to the field of medicine, namely to neuroreanimatology, neurosurgery, neurotraumatology. In order to evaluate the effectiveness of intensive care in patients with grave traumatic brain injury the study of patient's blood plasma with chemiluminescent method is performed. Before and 24 hours after the start of intensive care baseline and control values respectively are detected in the blood plasma for the following parameters: spontaneous bioprobe luminosity (SBL), rapid flare height (RFH), slow flare height (SFH), slow flare light sum (SFLS). Additionally before and 24 hours after intensive care start baseline and control values for the following parameters are detected in blood erythrocytes: activity of superoxide dismutase (SOD) and catalase (CA). Baseline and control values of respective parameters are compared to each other and in case of increase relatively to baseline values for control values of parameters characterizing the speed of free radical processes: SBL -by no less than 25%, RFH by no less than 10%, SFH by no less than 15%, SFLS by no less than 20% and with decrease relatively to baseline values for control values of parameters characterizing the activity of anti-oxidation enzymes: SOD - no more than by 15%, CA - no more than by 20%, the intensive care is deemed effective.

EFFECT: method provides for increased precision of effectiveness evaluation of intensive care in patients with grave traumatic brain injury.
