METHOD FOR DIAGNOSTICS OF COMPLICATION DURING ACUTE PANCREATITIS Russian patent published in 2012 - IPC A61B5/01

Abstract RU 2441576 C2

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention is referred to the area of medicine and can be used for diagnostics of complications in patients with acute pancreatitis. Additionally the temperature is measured in comparative point located 2.5-3.5 cm above the middle of inguinal ligament. In case of temperature increase in the point above the infiltrate by no less than 0.7°C compared to the temperature in comparison point and maintenance of this alteration for 3 day the conclusion is made on possibility of formation of abscess or phlegmon of pancreas. In case of decrease of temperature by no less than 0.7°C compared to the temperature in comparison point and maintenance of this alteration for 3 day the conclusion is made on formation of vast necrosis area with possible cyst outcome.

EFFECT: increased reliability of complications diagnostics in patients with acute pancreatitis using simple, affordable and cheap method; it provides for daily monitoring at the patient's bedside and development of timely treatment strategy.
