FIELD: production technologies.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to decorative wall panels, particularly to colored coated cementitious boards, such as fiber-cement reinforced boards and cement bonded wood particles boards and to a process of manufacturing such colored cement bonded panels. More specifically, the invention relates to colored cement bonded panels comprising a dried conventional coating applied onto each panel and made of one or more applied layers whereby at least one layer of the conventional coating contains at least one pigment, and a radiation cured coating composition applied on said dried conventional coating. Said conventional coating comprises functional groups which are reactive with isocyanate groups and in that said radiation cured coating composition (i) comprises at least one radiation cured polymer A and at least one chemically crosslinked and radiation cured polymer B comprising isocyanate groups having reacted with said functional groups and optionally with ambient moisture, and (ii) has a surface gloss measured according to DIN 67530 equal or less than 20% at an angle of incidence of 85°. EFFECT: overcoming at least some of these drawbacks by providing colored cement bonded panels in which adhesion between the conventional coating and the radiation-curable coating is improved whilst solving the problems of the undesirable reflectance of the glossy and shining surface.
