FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the area of iron-and-steel industry, to steel production in particular. The method comprises feeding carbon-containing material into the molten steel, such carbon-containing material being aluminium electrolysis waste. The waste with carbon-content - not less than 91% - is fed to the molten steel at the final stage of its treatment. Waste electrolyzer anodes such as crushed baked anode stubs, crushed waste of self-baking anodes or crushed stubs of burnt anodes or crushed self-baking anode waste shall be used as aluminium electrolysis waste, simultaneously or alternately.
EFFECT: technogenic with high carbon content material usage which enables production costs cuts and quality enhancement.
