FIELD: electromagnetism and power supply industry.
SUBSTANCE: method includes the disintegration of ice with mechanical oscillations caused by passing repeatedly direct current through cables in one and other directions with its frequency being a multiple of the frequency of the iced cables positioned on two neighbouring power transmission poles. The current's duration must be a multiple of the cables' characteristic oscillation period, and both cables used to pass the current must not lie in the same horizontal plane.
EFFECT: deicing power transmission lines.
