FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: with the help of galvanically isolated current source, connected to circuit of split phase wires, one or several short current pulses are sent with amplitude sufficient to heat the wires without their damage, at the same time repeated pulses, depending on ambient air temperature, are sent with period of their repetition, which does not exceed time of wires cooling down to its preliminary temperature condition, as a result, fast heating of wires is obtained, together with one or more thermodynamic shocks in them, accordingly.
EFFECT: improved efficiency of snow and ice cover removal from wires with minimum power inputs without interruption of power supply to consumers.
