FIELD: communication systems.
SUBSTANCE: method requires the use of Wireless Transmit/Receive Unit (WTRU) and the transmitting the request to find the possibility through the access point (AP); the receiving of the response to this request, whereas the response includes for the whole variety of technologies: the information about the type of technology and the information stating whether a make-before-break (MBB) handover is supported for the said technology; and the transferring the service in accordance with the received response.
EFFECT: improved assessment of communication lines' capabilities.
