SUBSTANCE: methods and mechanisms improve a heterogeneous medium-independent handover (MIH) of maintenance between different technologies of a channel level. Versions of realisation include using a MIH mediator, a MIH-capable network controller and a MIH server. Improvements are performed in respect to a phase of request, a phase of preparation, a phase of performance and a phase of completion by including of required information related to redundancy of resources in a target network into MIH messages.
EFFECT: expansion of functional resources at a maintenance transfer stage.
