FIELD: measuring instrumentation of the railroad transport.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to measuring instrumentation of the railroad transport, notably to portable meters for measuring the pressure force of car retarders. The meter for determination of the pressure force in the brake beams of the car retarder includes a housing located between the brake beams that has a force-measuring sensor on it, and a processor with the indicator. The meter for determination of the pressure force in the brake beams also contains a set block for metered compressive force and a comparing unit. The processor is made in the form of a microprocessor with the memory unit connected to it. The force-measuring sensor is connected to the first input on the microprocessor and the first input on the comparing unit to the second input of which the set block for metered compressive force is connected; the output of the comparing unit is connected to the second input of the microprocessor to the output of which the indicator is connected.

EFFECT: improvement of the measurement accuracy.
