FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: during hospitalization the patient plasma is examined using the cuneal dehydration: the plasma drop is dried on the slide and then the resulting facia is subject to microscopic analysis. With combination of two signs present - net of cracks in peripheral area of facia and dendritic crystals branching at the angle 60 or 90 degrees in central zone or the presence of “double facia” phenomenon the conclusion is made on maximal possibility of acute pancreatitis lethal outcome.
EFFECT: enhanced selection of patients with acute pancreatitis of severe aggressive character and serious prognosis.
